Former NFL Pro Bowler Reportedly Admits To Rape
Former Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings safety was known as one of the best in his position of his generation.
Now, his legacy is more is being put to shame as he reportedly admitted aggravated rape, and is charged to doing the same to multiple others throughout the years.
According to USA Today,
Former NFL star Darren Sharper admitted to witnesses that he and another man had sex with two women in New Orleans without their permission last September, according to a report by New Orleans police obtained by USA TODAY Sports.
The report says the two alleged victims were “impaired by the substance to the degree that both do not recall the entirety of the sexual intercourse.”
“Through further investigation by the (detectives) it was learned that Nunez and Sharper admitted to other known witnesses that he and Sharper had… sex with victims #1 and #2 without their knowledge or permission.”
The other man is Erik Nunez who is also facing two charges of aggravated rape.
In Los Angeles, Sharper was arrested and charged with aggraveted rape and posted $1 bail under the condition that he not be seen alone with any woman and he do not go to any nightclub.
Nunez’s attorney Herbert Larson provided a statement on the charges.
“You have a third-party statement by a witness who is not identified and whose credibility can’t be assessed. That’s the basis to hold my client in jail? You’ve got to be kidding.”
NFL Network fired Sharper after learning of the multiple charges.
