Reports Suggest Carmelo Anthony Seriously Considering Joining Chicago Bulls

Carmelo Anthony will be a free agent this season, that much we do know.

Where he will end up? Nobody knows.

Joakim Noah wants to make sure he signs with the Chicago Bulls though.

According to Chris Broussard of ESPN he tried to recruit Melo over All-Star weekend.

Over All-Star weekend, I’m told by a person with knowledge of the conversation, that Joakim Noah recruited Carmelo. Now, you’ll probably hear denials out of Chicago if they talk about it, because it would be tampering, officially.

But I’m told that Joakim said to Melo, “Look, you can go to Los Angeles. But if you want to win a ring, if you want your legacy to be about winning, come to Chicago.”

Melo, I’m told, said, “Look, I’ve been watching you guys. I admire how hard you play. I admire how hungry you are. Oh, and by the way, my son’s favorite player: Derrick Rose.”

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports it could definitely become a possibility due to the struggles and drama around the New York Knicks.

“The losing, the decaying roster, has inspired ‘Melo to consider closely the possibilities of free agency this summer. Within the past several weeks, a longtime confidant of Carmelo Anthony confesses, something changed.”

With a point guard on board and a good big man, Chicago could be a good fit.
