Lakers Fans: Don’t Expect To See Steve Nash Again This Season

Lakers fans there is bad news.

It looks like point guard Steve Nash’s season, and playing career may be over due to his growing back problems.

Head coach Mike D’Antoni spoke to ESPN about his chances of returning, and the possibility that his career may be over.

He’s not completely healthy. We have 23 games left. We’re not going to make the playoffs. So what’s his objective into taking minutes away from the young guys that we’re trying to develop? That’s kind of the theme that we’re talking about.”

Steve Nash did speak about wanting to return.

“We’ll see. I couldn’t really make a prediction. If I get the chance, it would be great.”

After a brief return, Nash had to shut it down again after colliding with Kirk Hinrich during a game against the Chicago Bulls.

Kobe Bryant did speak to Power 106 about the Lakers chances of coming back with a vengeance.

“Appreciate it now. Let it sit in now, because revenge is sweet and it’s quick….”

Nash is averaging 7.6 points and 4.7 assists in only 10 games this season.
