New York Knicks Raymond Felton Served Divorce Papers Before Trade Deadline
Raymond Felton has had a tough time on the court this season. It seems like his life off the court is getting tougher as well.
The New York Post is reporting that the New York Knicks point guard’s wife is looking to divorce the player. Adding on to a season full of struggles and rumors. Here is the story according to the New Jersey Star Ledger.
The point guard was served with divorce papers by his wife, Ariane Raymondo-Felton, the New York Post reported Tuesday, just as rumors are swirling that the Knicks are trying to trade him.
The grounds for the divorce request, which comes after 19 months of marriage, are unclear, the Post reported.
The short love story goes like this: Ariane, now 26, dated Felton, now 29, for a number of years before the couple married on July 28, 2012, in Wake Forest, N.C., where, the Post said, Felton pledged, “I’m going to take care of her. You have my word. I promise you. No matter what it is, I’m always there for you. I love you.”
The couple, who live in New York, have no children.
Maybe that will help give him some slack, as his struggles could be due to the problems at home. We never truly know what a player is going through.
Knicks are still shopping the guard before the end of the trade deadline.
