New York Knicks Looking To Make A Big Splash Before Trade Deadline

It looks like the New York Knicks are looking to make a big splash before this trading deadline ends.

According to Mark Stein of ESPN, the Knicks are looking again to acquire Denver Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried and swingman Jordan Hamilton.

The trade would be a complicated one if it was to happen because of the complicated salary cap and draft pick status the team has at the current moment.

New York cannot trade their 2015-2017 picks at the moment. They will be giving the Nuggets their first round pick this season for the Carmelo Anthony trade.

The Knickerbockers also need a point guard and are looking to acquire Rajon Rondo, but those are only pipe dreams at the current moment.

They can settle for Kyle Lowry who has been having a productive season with the Toronto Raptors, but that would also mean trading away one of their two best young players in Iman Shumpert or Tim Hardaway JR. according to TNT’s David Aldridge.

According to Frank Isola of the Daily News, the Knicks owner James Dolan killed a trade for Lowry earlier this season. That trade included Raymond Felton, Metta World Peace, and a 2018 first-round pick.

Just yesterday an “anonymous” general manager called their current starting point guard Raymond Felton the worst player in the league .
