What Really Happened During The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Brawl [Details]

Last week TMZ reported on a brawl that broke out during the filming of the new season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta at a restaurant opening. According to them this is how it played out

The cast was shooting the opening of a restaurant. Sources close to the show tell us … the trouble began when Joseline Hernandez walked in with a girlfriend. We’re told the friend instigated an argument … and pretty soon fists were flying.

Karlie Redd was knocked out … several others suffered bloody cuts … and somebody threw a bottle at Momma Dee, hitting her in the face.

Sounds pretty crazy, but according to the LHHA star Benzino that isn’t exactly how it went down and the whole story was over blown.

In a recent interview with the Associated Press this past weekend Zino broke down what really took place. Telling AP the incident was more of a “isolated” matter and the argument started between his former girlfriend Karlie Redd and his new fiance, Althea Hart.

According to Benzion

Everything was sensationalized. There were no bottles thrown, no fists were thrown, no guns were pulled out.

Karlie Redd even gave her statement on the matter saying

The reality is we are in a time when everyone wants their shine; their few minutes of fame – and I get that, but I assure you I was not involved in any fighting nor was I knocked out.

According to the story put out by AP Benzino also told the outlet  that a friend of  Joseline Hernandez was injured with a gash on her head, and that Redd and Hart threw drinks at one another.

That kind of sounds contradicting but whatever. VH1 cameras were still reportedly rolling throughout the whole ordeal so I guess we’ll kind of get a chance to see how it actually played out when season three of Love & Hip Hop airs in May.
