Opening Ceremony Kicks off Winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi [Details]
After months of speculation and doubt the Winter Olympics 2014 kicked off its annual opening ceremonies in Sochi any major issues.
Of course most of the issues came before the ceremony, like the $51 billion Olympic village not being done on time or that reporters covering the Olympics were rationed one pillow per bed due to a shortage of pillows.
Sochi was looking like a complete bust of a host but sure enough the opening ceremony wowed enough people to forget that snow had to delivery to the mild climate city.
Vladimir Putin the president of Russia plead his case to bring the Olympics to Sochi in hopes of changing the image of Russia that has plagued them for decades, such as their stance on homosexuality and rampant terrorism throughout the country.
So far not only are those still problems but now their are plenty of new ones.
There are so many complaints coming out of Sochi, for instance according to The Herd on ESPN radio they are allegedly having problems getting water to athletes!
Hopefully things will get better over the Olympics two – three week span.
