Maryland’s Columbia Mall Reopens Today After Weekend Shooting [Video]

On saturday January 25, 2014 Howard County police rushed to what was a tragic scene at Columbia Mall. Three people all under the age of 25 had already been reported dead by the time they arrived with 5 others injured.

One of the reported death was the shooter himself, 19-year-old College Park Darion Marcus Aguilar. Police reports say Aguilar was a teenage skateboarding enthusiast who had no criminal record before he showed up at the shopping center armed with a shotgun, plenty of ammunition and a backpack filled with crude homemade explosives.

Police identified the other two victims as Brianna Benlolo, a 21-year-old single mother, who lived half a mile away from Aguilar in the same College Park neighborhood; and 25-year-old Tyler Johnson, of Mount Airy, Md. Both were employees of Zumiez.

Investigators do not believe Aguilar knew either of the victims and have yet found a clear motive. Check out the full story below.
