Rex Ryan Agrees To Extension With New York Jets

The New York Jets locker room erupted in a small party after owner Woody Johnson announced that he would return as coach.

Today, the team has announced that it agreed on a contract extension with Ryan.

ESPN is reporting that the deal is through the 2016 season.

The deal is heavily incentivized based on postseason wins. The Jets haven’t won a playoff game since the 2010 season.

Ryan is 42-38 in five seasons, the second-highest winning percentage in Jets history. He also holds the franchise record with four postseason wins.
