Boston Celtics Acquire Jarryd Bayless In Three Team Trade [Update]
After years of trying, the Boston Celtics have finally got their man.
The team has agreed to the trade with the Memphis Grizzlies that will send guard Jerryd Bayless to Boston for guard Courtney Lee.
This will be Lee’s forth team since being drafted to the Orlando Magic during the 2008-2009 season. After having high hopes in the first few years of his career, he never got to live up to his potential.
He has also played for the New Jersey Nets, Houston Rockets and more recently the Celtics.
Meanwhile this is Bayless’ fifth team in his five years in the NBA. He is currently averaging 8.1 points, 2.1 assists, and 1.9 rebounds for the the Grizzlies.
Grizzlies have over $7 million in a trade exception after trading Rudy Gay to the Toronto Raptors earlier in the season.
Bayless spoke on leaving Memphis on his Twitter page.
The CITY of Memphis will always have a special place with me. There are relationships here that I will cherish forever! Time to move on.. JB
