Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo & Sean Lee Out For The Season [Update]
Dallas Cowboys are in a winner and take all mode next week against the Philadelphia Eagles.
They won’t be doing it with the man that helped bring them to victory this past week.
According to ESPN, Tony Romo will miss the rest of the season with a back injury.
Romo said Sunday he would undergo an MRI on his back Monday, but he didn’t believe it would jeopardize his availability for the game against Philadelphia.
Kyle Orton will be starting in place of Romo less than a week before the showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles. A game which will determine who wiill win the NFC East and make it to the playoffs.
Defensive captain Sean Lee who has also had his injury problems this season, will also be out the rest of the season after doctors did not clear him to play this week against the Eagles.
Romo finished the game yesterday after getting hurt in the first half against the Washington Redskins. He ended up completing 17/27 passes for 226 yard and two touchdowns, including the game winning score to Demarco Murray on a 4th and goal play with the season on the line.
Update: The Dallas Cowboys are either not trying to show their hand, or are doing everything in their power to make sure Romo plays Sunday night. Doctors still have to clear the quarterback, but it looks like if he has it his way, Romo will start instead of Kyle Orton against the Eagles.
