A New Jersey Transit bus crashed into the front of a building after a cab collided with the vehicle early Thursday morning.

So sad, but it couldve been much worse! Authorities are investigating a crash involving a taxi and a New Jersey Transit bus that caused the bus to careen into a building in Newark and sent 9 people to the hospital.

NJ Transit spokesman William Smith says it happened at about 12:45 a.m. Thursday.

Including the bus driver, and taxi cab driver, nine people were harmed, the other seven were passengers on the bus.

“Smith says the bus was headed for Newark’s Penn Station when it was struck by the cab. He says the impact carried both vehicles about 90 feet across a median and the bus ended up in a storefront. Both vehicles careerned roughly 90 feet across a median after the initial collision. None of the injures were considered life threatening.

Smith says the bus driver and seven passengers, along with the cab driver, were taken to a hospital. He says the bus driver has been released with a minor concussion.”
