Knicks To Solve Point Guard Problems With Iman Shumpert
The New York Knicks are in trouble.
Pablo Prigioni, who had been playing very well since being part of the starting line up with the team, suffered a hairline fracture on his fractured right big toe in the heartbreaking loss to the Washington Wizards last night.
According to the team, it won’t require surgery but he is out for at least two weeks, and maybe more.
Raymond Felton is out with a hamstring injury, and Jason Kidd who was a big leader for the team last year is now coaching the Brooklyn Nets.
The Knicks have Toure’ Murry, Beno Udrih and Iman Shumpert to help man the one while they recover from injury. Good news for New York is that Tyson Chandler will be back soon.
There have been rumors linking them to Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry, but no deal has been reached as of this point today, and there’s no word on whether they can reach an agreement.
Rumors have also surfaced on a trade that would send Pau Gasol to the Knicks for Shumpert and Chandler, but no trade seems to be close.
