New York Knicks Put Entire Team On Trading Block
The New York Knicks have their whole team on the trading block. Everyone but Carmelo Anthony.
Marc Berman of the New York Post reports that Carmelo Anthony is the only person that’s not in danger of being traded although he can opt out of his contract at the end of this season.
Cole Aldrich and J.R. Smith are the only other players that can’t be traded due to a rule which prohibits a player signed in the off-season to be immediately traded.
Finding a taker for Amar’e Stoudemire will be nearly impossible with about $45 million left in his contract. The Knicks have been trying to trade their best chip Iman Shumpert lately, but just can’t find a good deal for him .
The team is currently holding a 5-15 record, and is in danger of losing its head coach and missing the playoffs.
They play tonight (Wednesday) against the Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden.
