Giants In ‘Hot Pursuit’ Of The Playoffs; Take Down The Skins

Justin Tuck sacks RG3

Giants defensive end Justin Tuck sacks Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III (RG3) during Sunday night’s game at FedEx Field in Landover, MD.

“I don’t think we could have quit,’’ Tuck said. “I don’t think we have quit in us.’’

“At 14-0 you’re kind of like ‘Ugh,’ ’’ Tuck said.

“What I’m most proud of is the way we hung in there,’’ coach Tom Coughlin said. – nypost

ig Blue is stayin’ alive! After going 0-6, winning four straight, and then losing the last game to dem (Cow)boys, the Giants looked disabled! But after taking down the (Red)skins 24-17 last night, the Giants can breathe slight hope! They are now in “hot pursuit” of the Playoffs with a (5-7) record! The Redskins (3-9) are a usual difficult opponent for the Giants, but defensive end Justin Tuck had a break-out second half and notched four sacks! Tuck became only the fifth Giant to record four or more sacks in a game, and the first to do-so since Osi Umenyiora did it in 2007! During the Redskins final drive of the game on the two-minute warning, the refs botched the down calls, which actually helped the Giants! On the final play of the game, Giants’ safety Will Hill snatched the ball right out of Redskins’ wide receiver Pierre Garcon’s hands?! Giants’ QB Eli Manning actually had one of his better games (against the Redskins) and completed 22-of-28 passes for 235 yards with one touchdown and one pick!
