New York Jets Sign Recently Released Ed Reed
New York Jets got some safety help today, as they signed Ed Reed to the team.
The player was released by the Houston Texans last week, after leaving the only team he played for Baltimore Ravens in the offseason after their Super Bowl win.
Reed played for Jets head coach Rex Ryan when he was the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens from 2002-2008.
The future hall of famer is 35 years old, and didn’t play too well for the Houston Texans recently, losing his starting safety job before getting released.
According to the team, he is practicing with the team today, and will be made available to play for the 5-4 Jets this Sunday as they play the Buffalo Bills.
