Jennifer Hudson Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame
The super talented Jennifer Hudson was awarded her very own place on Hollywood Walk Of Fame for her music work, kicked off 2013 with a trifecta of high-profile performances: the presidential inauguration, the Super Bowl and the Academy Awards.
The Academy Award winner was joined by her fiancé David Otunga, son David Jr. and sister, along with Rafael Saadiq and Clive Davis.
Ana Martinez, Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies said,
“We are so happy to honor Jennifer Hudson with a star on the Walk of Fame. She is a great talent and a great addition to our Walk of Fame. Fans from all over the world have been waiting for this special day since we announced Jennifer’s selection for the star.”
Still recovering from the news that she’s being honored.
“I was so surprised — I still am, actually,” she says with a laugh. “Like, ‘Is this really happening?’ This is for legends. It’s something you hear about and you dream about and now it’s happening to me.”
Jennifer returns to the theaters in Fox Searchlight Pictures “Black Nativity” her first film since “Dreamgirls”. She is starring alongside Angela Bassett, Mary J. Blige, Forest Whitaker and Jacob Latimore in a film based on Langston Hughes’ gospel musical.
