Jay Z At The Center of MLB Investigation [Photo]

Damn can they just let HOV be great! Seems like ever since Jay stepped into the ring of athlete representation with his Roc Nation Spots venture he has been hit with just about ever obstacle imaginable. Jay is known for gifting those around him with gifts in honor of their hard work. I mean Skylar Diggins got a Benz, Rihanna a porsche and remember that early $50k bounce everyone at Roc Nation was blessed with a few months ago. So it’s no shock they Jay would gift on of his clients a super limited Shawn Carter Classic watches crafted by luxury timepiece maker, Hublot. But seem’s like MLBPA has a issue with the gift given to second baseman Robinson Cano.

According to The Stashed:

After Cano posted a picture of the watch on his Instagram account, MLB the players association quickly determined that Jay Z might have committed a violation. The rule that is in question is Section 5 (B)(5)(a) of the Players Association which states: “No player agent or applicant shall provide, cause t o be provided or promise to provide, any money or any other thing of value to any player, or any person related to or associated with such player.” There is however a clause that allows gifts of up to $500 to be allowed which means the $33,900 watch is definitely out of the question. If his actions are found to be in the wrong Jay Z could face unspecified discipline from the MLBPA.
