A big part of the Boston Red Sox season this year was their solidarity and chemistry as the whole team grew their beards out and became some grizzly men en route to another World Championship.

Earlier today (November 4), World Series MVP David Ortiz and Shane Victorino teamed up to shave their beards for charity at the Gillette headquarters in Boston.

The shavings of both players helped raises $100,000 to the One Fund foundation which helps aid the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Victorino shared that it took him six months to grow his infamous beard on the Today Show this morning.

“This city has had the luxury and had the benefit of winning a lot of championships. To be part of that now, for me, I’m truly blessed,” he said.

Now they look more like Yankees players.
