NFL Trade Deadline Deals That Did & Didn’t Happen
Some of the biggest trades this NFL season came earlier in the season where we saw big players such as Trent Richardson (Colts), Eugene Monroe (Ravens), and Jon Beason (Giants), were traded to help their new teams.
As the trade deadline passes we saw very little activity as teams couldn’t come up with a deal for big named players such as the Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen, New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks or legendary Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez.
The only trade that DID happen was the Philadelphia Eagles trading defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga and a sixth-round pick for a simple fifth-rounder.

Rumors throughout the day were trying to find a team for Jared Allen. But according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport team’s were too close to the cap to make a trade.
As expected, #Vikings didn’t trade Jared Allen. Salary, lack of interest, few suitors with cap space — all played a part.

The Dallas Cowboys, which have many holes to fill with the NFL’s worst defense couldn’t find any players that would make sense with their team. Rumors were trying to point Jacksonville Jaguars starting running back Maurice Jones-Drew as a match for the team but nothing materialized on that potential deal.
