Obama Appoints Jeffrey Zients To Fix Healthcare Website [Photo]

On Friday, the Obama administration appointed Jeffrey Zients to be the new contractor for the Obamacare government website. Nearly a month into the troublesome healthcare reform rollout, Zients promised “relentless focus on speed and execution” in fixing the problems ailing the landmark program. Previously led by officials at the centers for Medicare and Medicaid, one of the website’s subcontractors – QSSI – will now govern the effort to fix the healthcare.gov site with a projected timeline of the end of November for the website to be running smoothly. The White House aims to have 7m uninsured Americans covered by the scheme by the end of March.
