Justin Tuck tackles Adrian Peterson MNF Monday October 22 2013

Justin Tuck tackles Adrian Peterson during Monday Night Football at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 21, 2013.

“It’s one of those ‘Oh, this is what it feels like,’ ’’ Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. – nypost

“I had front-row seat to a great display of a group effort, started with our D-line up front and our guys inside, our D-ends contained him (Adrian Peterson),” Giants linebacker Jon Beason said. “I said before the game this isn’t a stat week. I want no solo [tackles], everybody let’s get assists. When you swarm good things happen. We knew going in we had to make them one-dimensional by stopping Adrian Peterson and making them pass. We did a great job of containing him early, getting him off the field and getting them [in] third and long.’’ – nypost

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants

Peyton Hillis, the Giants new running back, made quite a debut during Monday Night Football at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 21, 2013.

“Going into the night my legs felt like Jell-O,’’ said Peyton Hillis, the journeyman running back the Giants signed last week, after the Giants’ 23-7 win over the Vikings at MetLife Stadium. “It was being out of the game for a little bit. I had three weeks where I thought my career was over. I was back at home on my ranch in Tennessee hunting every day and not working out and then got the call [from the Giants]. Even in the workout I felt like was out of gas and about to pass out.

“I tried not to show it on the outside, but internally I was a little worried. I sensed myself out there [Monday night] making cuts and falling on my face. But I didn’t.’’ – nypost

Man accused of killing Adrian Peterson’s son is indicted?!, Cops interview Jets Fan (former killer) that punched a woman in the face at MetLife StadiumJets’ Mark Sanchez becoming most hated by the public?!

las!!! The moment has finally arrived! The NY Giants got their first win of the season 23-7 over the Minnesota Vikings at MetLife Stadium for Monday Night Football! The Giants D got it together and held the No. 1 running back in the NFL (Adrian Peterson) to 28 rushing yards on 13 carries! The Giants fueled their running game by picking up ex-Browns running back (and former 1,000 yard rusher) Peyton Hillis last week, and he immediately contributed in his debut with a rushing touchdown on 18 carries for 36 yards, and five catches for 45 yards! Hillis numbers weren’t big, but the timing of plays were integral in the Giants first win! Ex-Bucs (now Viking) QB Josh Freeman had 10 minutes of fame before being regulated by the Giants D; Freeman completed only 20-of-53 passes for 190 yards with a pick! Giants QB Eli Manning managed to not throw a pick, and completed 23-of-39 passes for 200 yards with one touchdown! Having a go-to guy in the slot (Hillis) helped Eli to be more deceptive on his play selection! The Giants are now (1-6), and still have a lot of work to do to make the Playoffs!

Do you think the Giants still have a chance to make the Playoffs this season?! Please leave a comment below!!!
