Allen Iverson To OFFICIALLY Retire October 30 [Video]

Allen Iverson hasn’t played in the NBA for roughly three years, but he will officially announce his retirement October 30 with the Philadelphia 76ers as they play against the Miami Heat.

He was drafted in 1996 with the number one overall pick by Philadelphia after shining in Georgetown. He enjoyed a career which allowed him to win an MVP in 2001 while leading his team to the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Iverson didn’t only shine on the court though. The man had his own popular pair of Reebok sneakers, and a pretty cool commercial to go with it.

Over his career “The Answer” also played for the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies while being an 11 time all-star, and averaging 26.7 points per game, 6.2 assists per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, and 2.2 steals per game, while leading the NBA in scoring four seasons and steals in three.
