Who’s Next: Yankees Looking At Japanese Pitcher?!

“The Yankees have seen him a lot,’’ said a talent evaluator who watched the 24-year-old right-hander pitch late last month for Japan’s Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. “Boston, Texas and the Dodgers will be there, too. This guy is very good.’’ – nypost

ith the NY Yankees facing the wall, and even more knee deep losing iconic pitchers Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettitte, they aren’t wasting any time looking for replacements! The Yankees are expected to bid for 24-year old Japanese phenom Masahiro Tanaka next month, and willing to spend up to $60 Million (4 to 5 year deal) to fetch the talent! Tanaka played for Japan’s Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, is highly regarded by scouts, and is expected to be highly touted by not only the Yankees but the Dodgers, Red Sox, and Rangers as well! The Yankees also are still on deck waiting for pitchers Michael Pineda and Manuel Banuelos to get healthy, and may lose Hiroki Kuroda at any time! Hopefully, the Yankees will sink this guy, and get on the good foot forward for the new era in Yankee baseball!
