Egypt To Take Over Banned Muslim Brotherhood Assets [Photo]

Egypt’s government is moving to seize the assets of the Muslim Brotherhood after the group’s activities were banned by law amid a crackdown by authorities following the recent tumultuous upheaval between the Egpytian military and pro-Morsi supporters. The Muslim Brotherhood ban will also include ownership of the extensive social services the group provides – including hospitals, schools and charities. Since the removal of the Brotherhood’s president, Mohammed Morsi, in July, Morsi has not been seen in the public eye, but the 85-year old group has not left but rather moved underground and are unlikely to disappear from Egyptian life.
