Dozens Flooded In New Mexico

According to CNN, “Flooding spurred evacuations in at least two New Mexico towns, CNN affiliates said Friday.

The flooding occurred in Las Vegas in the northeast part of the state and Truth or Consequences in the south, according to Esteban Lujan, public information officer of the state Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

In Las Vegas, roughly 30 houses were affected, Lujan said. Fifty people have been moved to an American Red Cross center at the local high school out of precaution.

In Truth or Consequences, where some bridges and roads have been washed out, about 20 people have been evacuated after flash flooding.”
