fter the Yankees received bad news that star Derek Jeter will be out for the rest of the season, they fought their way back into the game to win (5-3 over the Baltimore Orioles), and are now only one game out of the Wild-Card! A-Rod, Curtis Granderson and Robinson Cano each teed off with solo home-runs to help the cause, and Cano gave the Yankees a temporary lead (4-3) in the eighth inning with his timely blast! What ended up being the difference was actually what followed: Granderson hit a triple and Lyle Overbay scored him on a game-winning RBI single! Mo gave up a run in the ninth inning, but held up for his 43rd save in 50 chances this season! The Yankees (78-68) are literally only one game back from the Tampa Bay Rays (78-66) for the last spot in the AL Wild-Card (for the Playoffs)!
