“The Giants have given me a great opportunity,’’ Jacobs said. “This is where I wanted to be. These are the coaches I want to play for and I wanted to come back with my teammates. This is the place I love most.”

“Whatever they need me to do,” Jacobs said. “Whatever role they want me to play, I’ll come in and do it.’’ – nypost

Manning Bowl (Last ever regular season) at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Jets take on rival Patriots for Thursday Night Football

he NY Giants took back 265 lb. BRUISING RB Brandon Jacobs on Tuesday afternoon agreeing to a one-year not fully guaranteed contract! Jacobs worked out at the Giants facility on Tuesday, and they liked what they saw! In fact, the Giants were considering signing him Back In Blue in April! The Giants were in hell and high water in the season opener last Sunday without a veteran running back on the squad; David Wilson fumbled the ball twice and Da’Rel Scott didn’t fair much better?! Wilson will be the premiere running back for the Giants, but a veteran presence is necessary to help the young emerging talent become a star and a leader! Jacobs played his first seven seasons with the Giants leaving with the franchise record for rushing touchdowns (56), and was instrumental in two Super Bowl victories plus two 1,000 yard (rushing) seasons along the way! Jacobs was then released from the Giants and played with the San Francisco 49er’s in 2012, but a severe lack of playing time idled the seasoned veteran! Jacobs, 31, may have to settle for No. 34, as safety Stevie Brown took his No. 27 while Jacobs was off the squad! Jacobs is happy to be Back in Blue once again! Check out details above…
