PS4 and XBox One Release Dates Now Official

console release dates

Both Sony and Microsoft have now officially revealed the dates when their next generation consoles will be hitting stores.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 will be available in North America on November 15 for $400. We know that the new PlayStation Eye will not be included in the box, but there’s no info on possible bundles including the new peripheral that Sony admitted they didn’t include in order to undercut Microsoft on price. In addition to a lower price Sony will also have the advantage of being first to market.

Microsoft revealed that the Xbox One will release in ┬áNorth America on November 22 for $500. The Xbox One will come bundled with the new Kinect sensor, as well as a headset for online chat. “Day One” editions that will only be available at launch will also come with an additional “Day One” branded controller.

Both consoles now have concrete release dates, will a one week head start and lower price help PlayStation steal back the #1 spot in the US market? Or is the new functionality of Xbox’s Kinect worth the wait and extra money?
