“Aaron’s out of his mind,” a friend of the family told the magazine. “He’s been twisted on dust (a slang term for PCP) now for more than a year, which is when all of this crazy s–t started.”

The source told the magazine, “He was very paranoid, but was that because of his addictions or because he was trying to leave the gang?” – nypost

Hernandez, 23, allegedly shot dead 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player from Boston in a North Attleboro, Mass., industrial park in June. Hernandez was cut from the New England Patriots hours after his June 26 arrest. – nypost

N THE COVER of the Tuesday issue of Rolling Stone magazine was former New England Patriots star TE Aaron Hernandez, who was accused of killing his best friend Odin Lloyd in June (incident report above)! The article titled “The Gangster in the Huddle” talks about Hernandez year long battle with PCP, his guns, and his gangsta entourage! According to the report from close sources, Hernandez was very paranoid either from the PCP or due to an attempt to distance himself from his gangsta clique! More than likely, Hernandez wanted to escape the situation, distance himself from the clique, and possibly acted out of paranoia and direct conflict with his Lloyd; Lloyd was going out with Hernandez’s girlfriend sister! It’s a shame because Hernandez had a brilliant career ahead of him, already making a mark in the NFL!

For discussion after you read the article are two things: Why wasn’t the NFL testing for drugs properly and two how would he get so far from the reality of being a football star? Please leave feedback below…
