Mets’ Prodigy Pitcher Matt Harvey Likely To Have Season-Ending Surgery?!

Mets Matt Harvey

Harvey’s injury causes sadness for Mets fans and all of baseball

he Mets were definitely not ‘Amazin this season, but they did have a bright spot, ALL ADORN ace/prodigy pitcher Matt Harvey! Harvey, 24, was even able to turn up his fastball to 100 mph! Well now, it appears that he may have season-ending Tommy John surgery for his pitching (right) arm?! To make matters worse, Harvey would also miss all of the 2014 season with the most necessary surgery. He is reluctant to have surgery and will wait two weeks (for the swelling to go down) to make certain he has to have surgery. Harvey exited the game on Saturday with stiffness and soreness in his pitching arm, specifically the forearm. He went for an MRI, and it indicated that he has a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow.
