Egyptian Court Could Free Mubarak As Crisis Deepens [Photo]
Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak could be freed from jail when a court convenes on Wednesday to review his case. Mubarak, 85, has been incarcerated since April 2011, two months after he was ousted in a revolution against his 29 year reign. He was sentenced to life in prison last year for failing to stop the murder of some 900 protesters during the 18-day revolt. Although Mubarak no longer has a political future, his release could stir up further dissension in an area already plagued by a week of bloodshed between pro-Morsi supporters and the interim military led government.
