Chinese Human Trafficking Bust in Spain and France [Photo]
Spanish and French police report that they have dismantled a human trafficking ring that smuggled Chinese migrants into Europe and the United States. The global networking traffickers charged $53,000 to $66,000 per person for services including the creation of false documents as well as accompanied transport to countries including Spain, France, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Turkey. The well-organized ring had its headquarters in China with separate factions operating independently in countries which increased the difficulty of infiltrating the group. Traffickers would take their clients from China to Barcelona, Spain which served as a temporary stop house before embarking on their final destination usually being either the US or UK.
