Pacers Cross Out Knicks, Prepare For Heat! [Video]

Hibbert blocks Melo 1

Anthony still called it “a hell of a year.’’

“We took steps forward as an organization,’’ he said. “We’ll take that. We’ll be back better and stronger, that’s for sure.’’

“This is the first time this team has ever been assembled,’’ said Woodson, who again benched Amar’e Stoudemire and Jason Kidd in the second half. “We did a lot of special things this season. To walk away from tonight and say this was a disaster, absolutely not. We had high expectations when we set out at training camp and our goal was to win an NBA title. We played like it throughout the season.

“At the end of the day, we didn’t get it done. Me being the head coach, I take full responsibility.’’ – nypost

Shumpert takes ball from Paul George

Iman Shumpert rips the ball away from Paul George in game 3 of the Knicks-Pacers Eastern conference semi-final series.

“We wanted to put ourselves in the finals and roll the dice and we didn’t do that,’’ Shumpert said. “I just wanted to win.”

“I just think we let up and started to trade baskets,” he said. “They were scoring on every possession and the only way to stop that is to stop them and we didn’t do that.” – nypost

New York Knicks v Indiana Pacers - Game Six

“He (Stephenson) was the difference maker tonight,” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said with a sigh.

“Last game, I felt like I played not to my ability and I couldn’t wait for this game,” said Stephenson, who shot 9-of-13 from the floor and 7-of-8 at the line. “I couldn’t sleep and I was very focused for this game. And I want to thank my teammates. We played hard played together and played as a unit.” – nypost

T

he Indiana Pacers crossed out the NY Knicks (4-2) in the Eastern conference semi-final series following a grueling 106-99 game 6 win over the Knicks in Indy last night! Now they will take on the Miami Heat in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals! Anyone with any sense of NY Pride was rooting for the Knicks; they went through swings, and just couldn’t dig themselves out of the hole they put themselves Indy! With last nights loss, the Knicks have lost six straight at Indy! Melo was hot hitting 39 points, but cooled off in the fourth quarter punctuated with a Roy Hibbert Playoff highlight block on Melo right at the cup (pic above, video below)! Iman Shumpert (19 points) stepped up and showed fight hitting three-threes in a row in the third quarter to tie the game for a brief moment! Raymond Felton fell flat with two points on seven shots, J.R. Smith shot awful (4-for-15) with 15 points! Brooklyn native Pacer Lance Stephenson was rugged hitting a career-high 25 points plus 10 boards; again the Knicks should recruit him in the future! Pacers’ Paul George had 23 points and George Hill was the X-Factor with 12 points and ball control down the stretch! The Pacers brought it hard in the paint drawing foul outs (six fouls) by Shumpert, Chandler and K-Mart; going to the line 46 times compared to the Knicks 18 times! Overall in the series, there is no denying that Hibbert was “awesome” and clearly out-dueled Tyson Chandler on the block; Hibbert finished game 6 with 21 points, 12 boards and five blocks!
