Yankees Stretch Rally Mariners, Reward Grandy’s Return To Lineup!

Baltimore Orioles v New York Yankees

Robinson Cano gives teammate Ichiro Suzuki a pound after hitting a clutch two-RBI double in the seventh inning stretch on Tuesday night at Yankee stadium.

“All year long, he’s been driving in runs,” Cano said of Overbay, who has become much more than a run-of-the-mill fill-in for Mark Teixeira. “It doesn’t matter if it’s a righty or a lefty out there, he finds a way to get guys in.” – nypost

Curtis Granderson returns to Yankees

“It’s just like another Opening Day, nerves coming into it since it’s the first game of the 2013 season, to be here in Yankee Stadium for the first time since last season,” said Granderson, who went 0-for-3 with a walk. “All of those different things ran through [my mind], the emotions, the excitement.

“To get the first ball, the first at-bat out of the way is definitely a relief. Now I can … get back to playing baseball.’’ – nypost
