Pacers Stave Off The Knicks, Put Knicks In Tight Spot!

Knicks Pacers Carmelo frustrated

“I believe, I really believe we can to do something special,’’ Anthony said in a low voice. “We must win [tomorrow] and we got to believe in ourselves. At this point, it’s do or die. No need to hang heads at this. We got to do it being very confident.’’

“I take the blame for this whole series,” Smith said. “I’ve been letting my teammates down, I’ve been letting my coaches down, and it doesn’t feel good.” – nypost

Spurs Hold Off Warriors, Take 3-2 series lead

he Indiana Pacers staved off the NY Knicks, 93-82 last night effectively putting the Knicks on the chopping block, down (3-1) in the second round series on the brink of elimination! J.R. Smith or J.R. Miss shot bricks (7-22 shooting, 3-10 from three) and later did apologize (quote above), and the Knicks as a team just couldn’t buy a bucket! Melo, who shot 9-for-23 for 24 points still has hope in the Knicks (quote above)! The Pacers just man handled the Knicks on the glass, out-muscling them 54-36! The Pacers protected the paint, and also drove harder in the paint drawing 30 free-throw attempts to the Knicks 14 free-throw attempts! The Knicks just flat out did not play with any sense of urgency; where was the full-court press with under five minutes to go and down by 15 points?! Now the Knicks must win-or-go-home and win three straight just to advance to the next round! Not to draw heat, but Brooklyn native Lance Stephenson threw in a nice game, and maybe the Knicks should look to recruit this talent in the future; he recently had his number retired at Lincoln High school! The Knicks did have a nice alley-oop play to Tyson Chandler, who did step it up with 12 points and 10 boards; check out the play and the full highlight reel below!
