The NBA will make a $10,000 donation on behalf of Kidd to The Jason Kidd Foundation, which is dedicated to improving education among the youth, by ensuring that kids of all ages have the tools needed through mentoring, tutoring and technology programs to succeed in life.

The NBA will make a $5,000 donation to each of the divisional winner’s charities of choice: the Luol Deng Foundation on behalf of Deng; Rapha House on behalf of Curry; Methodist Healthcare Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center on behalf of Conley; Care OKC on behalf of Collison; Pete and Jameer Nelson Foundation on behalf of Nelson. – nba

Kidd miraculously won it back to back, and became only the second player to even win the award twice (Grant Hill, three times)! Six players were nominated from six different divisions: Kidd (Atlantic), Bulls’ Luol Deng (Central), Warriors’ Stephen Curry (Pacific), Grizzlies’ Mike Conley (Southwest), OKC Nick Collison (Northwest), and Magics’ Jameer Nelson (Southeast)! For the ninth straight year, NBA Players vote with 11 points given for a first-place vote, nine points for a second-place vote, seven points for third-place vote, five points for a fourth-place vote, three points for a fifth-place vote, and one point for a sixth-place vote! $10K goes to the Jason Kidd Foundation charity, and $5K goes to runner-up nominees charity; check out details above!
