Why Chris Brown’s Father Is Against His Relationship With Rihanna

Chris Brown‘s father, Clinton Brown, recently sat down with the NY Daily News for a exclusive interview. The subject of course was his son and pop star girlfriend. Poppa Brown stated how he didn’t believe it was wise of the two singers to rekindle their relationship seeing as how it all played out the first time around.

I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together…. you have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”

Poppa Brown reflected how he feared the relationship had the possibilities of ending in tragedy giving examples of stars that have moved on over the past couple years. [A tad bit extreme using Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse as examples.]

Chris’s father also told the news outlet he understands his son’s attraction to the pop diva.

She’s beautiful, she’s exotic, she’s successful, Sometimes you just need that person who will listen to you without judging, who knows what it feels like. If he talks to someone who’s not in the business they may not understand.”

As well as his first encounter with RiRi years ago saying the Barbadian beauty was “very respectful and polite.”  However Brown couldn’t help but name his ideal girl for his son “I personally liked Jordin Sparks. She’s a wholesome young lady, very pretty.” Random candidate but hey all parents have that ideal person they want their child to settle down with. Brown ended the interview by answering the question of whether or not the two’s young romances could be tamed by a child.

Their tumultuous romance will not likely be tamed by a baby any time soon, (Rihanna) would make a good mom. I think she would probably have to change some of her antics — the party attitude would probably have to change,” Clinton said. “I don’t think they would just whimsically and spontaneously have a child with them being in this mode. That’s why I don’t see it happening — but anything’s possible, man.”

Do you agree with Poppa Brown?
