Ichiro Delivers Clutch Hit, Yankees Rally Past The Rays!

Ichiro hits Rays

”I haven’t been able to do much, but hopefully things like this will help me get past it,” Suzuki, who is hitting just .220 this season, said through a translator.foxsports

“There are always a few guys who get off to a slow start, there is no rhyme or reason,’’ manager Joe Girardi said of the 39-year-old Ichiro, who started last night’s action batting an embarrassing .200. “Over here, everyone questions you when you are older.’’ – nypost

chiro Suzuki delivered the clutch go-ahead two-RBI single in the top of the ninth inning last to beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 last night! Robinson Cano ended AL Cy Young winner David Price’s night with a lead-off single in the top of the ninth inning! Even though, Eva Longoria took one yard on Mo, he still held on to get his sixth save of the season! Ichiro looked rough in the first few weeks of the season: not getting hits, slow on the base path, and lost velocity and accuracy on his throwing arm, but last night he looked better again! The Yankees improved to (11-8), while the Rays dropped to (9-11)!
