He ran away with it on the ballots casting 52 of the 120 first-place votes (311 points), more than double New Orleans’ Greivis Vasquez, who finished with 13 first-place votes and 146 points! George, 22, in his third year in the NBA posted career highs in points (17.4), rebounds (7.6), assists (4.1), steal (1.8), and minutes (37.6) per game! The No. 10 pick out of Fresno State in the 2010 NBA Draft has stepped up his game in many different categories! As part of the Award, a 2012 Kia Sorrento will be donated to the Indianapolis area Hawthorne Community Center, the charity of his choice!
