Event Recap: Kid Daytona ‘Running With The Bulls’ Private Listening Event [Photo]

Yesterday Daytona dropped his latest Mixtape “Running of the Bulls”, but one Tuesday night the Bronx rapper held a private listening session at Corner Stone Agency/ Fader offices to give listeners a more detailed scoop one the chi-town inspired project. Daytona shared with everyone his inspiration for the EP and why he gave the mixtape its title:

The 90’s Bull’s run was is one of my favorite teams of all time, back then Jordan was my hero,[…] During our Midwest tour stop in Chicago I was amazed by amount of love giving from the city and its local artists. I was shocked to hear the crowed requesting records of mines and the influence my music had on the Midwest that I decided to create a project dedicated to the city.

The first track he played of the EP “Sam Bowie”, named after the guy who was picked up before Jordan, was inspired by the idea that within the industry a lot of “Sam Bowies” pass through as the fans wait for that Jordan of hip hop to surface. Chicago rapper and newly signed Universal artist YP stop through to show love and helped Daytona introduce their Raekown inspired track “Blue and Cream”. Other tracks played off the EP that night were “Dreamin”, “No Reason” and “Isley”. Check out photos from the event below and The Kid Daytona’s Running with the Bulls.
