Rasheed Retires Before Playoffs!

Y Knicks 38-year old big man Rasheed Wallace, who brought leadership and a commanding force in the limited minutes he played, announced his retirement earlier today (Wednesday)! The Knicks brought Rasheed back out of retirement, but he missed most of the season due to a stress fracture in his left foot! He tried to warm-up on Monday’s game against the Charlotte Bobcats, but ended up leaving after only 3:50 played due the sore left foot! The Knicks picked up 7-foot Earl Barron to replace Rasheed going into the Playoffs! Read more on Barron after jump…

Earl Barron, 31, actually played seven games for the Knicks in 2009-2010 (pic above), and played 21 games this season with the Washington Wizards!
