he NY Knicks triumphantly clinched the No. 2 spot in the Eastern Conference with a dominating 90-80 win over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night! The Knicks D was turnt up forcing the Pacers into 26 turnovers, and Melo scored 25 points (9 for 23 shooting) before leaving the game with a sore shoulder! Chris Copeland stepped up yet again for the Knicks with 20 points, J.R. Smith had 15 points, and Raymond Felton and Iman Shumpert hit double-digits! Copeland, the Knicks 27-year old rookie is straight out of East Orange, NJ and rose up out of ranks of the D-League! Lance Stephenson, a Coney Island native, scored a team-high 22 points for the Pacers! The Knicks also picked up Solomon Jones (pic above) after cutting injured Kurt Thomas over the weekend; Jones made his debut and started the game at the center position last night! The Knicks improved to (53-27), and locked up the No. 2 spot in the Eastern Conference; the Knicks(tape) will take on the No. 7 seed Boston Celtics in the first round of the Playoffs! It’s a lock!
