“We needed a rally and we’ve been doing it for a couple of games straight, being down,” Hancock said. “We just had to wait and make our run.”

“I just thought we needed something,” said Hancock, whose 100-percent mark from 3 is, of course, a title-game record. “I tried to do whatever I could to help the team. I usually take a back seat to Russ and Peyton, which I’m fine with since they are such great players. I just hit a few shots.” – espn

he newly crowned champion Louisville Cardinals’ Luke Hancock was named the Final Four MOP (Most Outstanding Player)! Hancock actually scored 14 straight points in the National Championship game (on Monday night) late in the first half to bring Louisville from a 12-point deficit to a one-point lead! Hancock was blazing from range connecting on 5-of-5 from deep (title game record) and finishing with 22 points in the National Championship game! He also finished with a team-high 20 points in the National semifinal against the Syracuse Orange on Saturday night! Plus, check out Kevin Ware, who broke his leg in half in the Elite 8 game, cutting down the nets pic above! If you think about both Hancock and Ware were inspirations for Louisville; Ware off the court and Hancock on the court with great play!
