he Louisville Cardinals (#1) and soon-to-be HOF inductee coach Rick Pitino got it done tonight and captured ‘the Crown’ over the Michigan Wolverines 82-76 in the NCAA National Championship game! It became THE inspirational story of sorts after Kevin Ware broke his right leg (in half) in the Elite 8! Louisville stuffed #4 Michigan on D and scored buckets in transition, made necessary free-throws, and were straight up explosive in the second half coming back from an early 12-point deficit! Luke Hancock led Louisville’s attack with 22 points, Peyton Silva was impressive all-around and finished with 18 points, six boards, five assists and four steals, and Chane Behanan came hard in the paint with 15 points and 12 boards! Brooklyn native Louisville Russ Smith finished with nine points! READ MORE after the break…

Trey Burke was no joke and finished with the game-high 24 points, and Glenn Robinson III (NBA “Big Dog” Robinsons’ son) scored 12 points! Check out photos from the game, courtesy espn!
