ing of NY: Knicks legend Bernard King will finally be inducted into the Hall of Fame in an announcement before the NCAA National Championship game tonight! He will be joining nine-time All-Star Gary Payton, Louisville coach Rick Pitino, former UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian, and former University of Houston coach Guy Lewis! Late additions include North Carolina women’s coach Sylvia Hatchell and former University of Virginia star Dawn Staley! Talks about Olympic and NBA star Spencer Haywood making the Hall were indicated later to be false (quote above)! King was a four-time All-Star, spent four seasons with the Knicks including the 1984-85 season in which he averaged an NBA best 32.9 ppg, and spent three seasons with the NJ Nets where he started and ended his career!
