Breaking: Rutgers Fire Abusive Coach Rice!

Coach Mike Rice fired

“As I stated three months ago after I watched the video, how deeply regrettable those actions were,” an emotional Rice told WABC outside his New Jersey home. “I also stated that I was going to try and work on changing and I think I’ve accomplished a lot of that. I can’t say anything right now, except that I am sorry and there will never be a time when I am going to use any of that as an excuse or any excuse.

“I’ve let so many people down: My players, my administration, Rutgers university, the fans, my family who’s sitting in the house huddled around because of the fact that their father was an embarrassment. It’s troubling, but at some time maybe I will try and explain it, but right now there is no explanation for what’s on that film, because there is no excuse for it. I was wrong and I want to tell everybody who believed in me that I am deeply sorry for the pain and hardship that I’ve caused.” – nypost

reaking News: The NJ Rutgers (Scarlett Knights) Athletic Department finally fired basketball coach Mike Rice to save face after videos surfaced yesterday after an airing of ESPN “Outside The Lines.” The videos clearly showed the coach (from 2010-12) throwing basketballs at his players and their heads, cursing at them and calling them “fags,” and even putting his hands on them, kicking them and throwing them around like ragdolls! I am surprised that he lasted that long?! Rutgers Athletic Department released the notification of his firing via twitter (above) at 10 a.m. this morning, and Rice did immediately apologize and accept his due termination! Check out details above!
