“I took a step to explode and go up to the rim and I felt it pop,” Shumpert said. “Last time I felt a pop I was out eight months. I didn’t want to hear that. They feel it’s just scar tissue breaking up. I was more scared and nervous than anything else. It was a regular take off and it buckled.

“They’re going to re-evaluate me,” Shumpert said. “They wanted to know if it stiffened. While I was sitting on the bench, I was fine. I had never felt that pop [since the comeback], and I didn’t like that feeling too much. Hopefully it all goes well tomorrow.” – nypost

he NY Knicks pounded the Orlando Magic 106-94 w/ Melo back at MSG last night! On the KnicksTape, J.R. Smith made a statement with his late-game block on O’Quinn (video below), and James “Flight” White preceeded it with the sweet double-pump windmill dunk (video below)! The Knicks are concerned with Iman Shumpert after having his left knee pop on a slip and fall last night (quote above)! The Magic actually had three players from the greater NY Metro-area including: Tobias Harris who was born and raised in Long Island and was named the Mr. New York Basketball in 2010, Mo Harkless is from NYC and played at Forest Hills HS and one year with St. John’s Red Storm, and Kyle O’Quinn hails from Jamaica Queens and played HS ball out of Campus Magnet! Harris, Harkless and O’Quinn were excited to being playing in NYC MSG, and put up decent numbers in the game: Harris had 14 points and five boards, Harkless had 11 points, three steals  and six boards, and O’Quinn finished with 12 points and 14 boards! For the Knicks, J.R. Smith had 22 points and seven boards, Melo 21 points and eight boards, K-Mart looked sharp with 11 points, and Steve Novak matched him with 11 points of his own!
