Melo, Chandler Knocked Out, Nuggets Blow-Out Knicks!
“It started tightening up, started stiffening up. Some movements that I couldn’t make, movement laterally, felt like I didn’t have no pop, no power,” Anthony said. “I tried it in the second half, coming out after halftime. I couldn’t move.”
“I’m going to go get it drained, get the fluid out. Get to the bottom of it quick, so I can get back on the court,” Anthony said.
“I was always concerned,” he said. “I was being naive to myself, saying OK. Trying to psyche myself out, ‘I can do it. I can do it.’ But there comes a point where you’ve got to figure it out and get to the bottom of it and move on.” – espn
Melo and Tyson Chandler had to leave the game early, as the Denver Nuggets blew-out the NY Knicks, 117-94 last night! It was the second game of the Knicks tough road trip, and the Knicks dropped to (38-24) only 1 1/2 games ahead of inter-city rival Brooklyn Nets (38-27)! The Knicks have gone 20-19 after starting red-hot at 18-5! Melo left in the third quarter after scoring only nine points, and was sent back to NY to get his knee drained; his return to the line-up is day-to-day! Personally, Melo needs to go back to the three, he is getting banged up at the four spot! Tyson Chandler banged knees with Nuggets’ Corey Brewer and should hopefully be back for tonight’s game against the Portland Trailblazers! Chandler hasn’t missed a game thus far this season, and the Knicks definitely need him in the middle! On a positive, Iman Shumpert stepped up with 20 points and J.R. Smith had 15 points and eight assists for the Knicks! Former Knick Wilson Chandler had a game-high 24 points for the Nuggets! Check out a recap from the game on video below!
