Knicks Miss Chance to Beat OKC!

J.R. Smith vs OKC

“[I] can’t say it was a great night,’’ Smith said. “I’ve had high-scoring nights, but it doesn’t mean anything when you come out with a loss.’’ – nypost

”It was a great fight. I mean we put up a heck of a fight out there tonight,” Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire said. ”We played great defensively, offensively we were playing well, the ball was moving, so we can be happy with the way we played but still a little upset that we lost down the stretch.” – foxsports

“That’s the way I’ve been playing ever since I picked up a basketball,” Martin said. “But just showing them that I’ve still got it. Especially on the defensive end. Of course that ain’t going nowhere.” – nypost

K-Mart shines in quality minutes for the Knicks

J.R. Smith missed the shot (at the buzzer) and the NY Knicks missed an opportunity to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder, as OKC held on to 95-94 win at MSG last night! To their credit, Smith and Stat kept the Knicks in it late in the game with Melo out! In fact, Smith finished with a Knick-career-high 36 points, Stat and Raymond Felton had 16 apiece, and Chandler and Jason Kidd had 10 boards apiece! Also, K-Mart got some quality minutes on the floor! For OKC, Kevin Durant had 34 points, Russell Westbrook 21 points, Kevin Martin 16, and Serge Ibaka had 12 points, nine boards and five blocks! The Knicks gave it a shot, but came up short!
